Meet The Owner, Ms. Gee Carter.
Owner, Founder of Gee’s Vanity Inc, Lash Tech, Makeup Artist, Facial & Beauty Therapist.
Growing up I always knew that I wanted to own my business. I’ve always had so many ideas of what I wanted to do and often dreamed about having a number of businesses without even having the knowledge of what it takes to start a business. My father even saw it fit for my siblings and I to have our own businesses from young.
Since I was a kid I always took an interest in personal care but never stayed on the path of it growing up. I had other interest in many things but nothing trumped personal care… When it came to the makeup aspect of it my mother always scared us saying that makeup is going to ruin our skin along with a few other things, so I revamped my vision and wanted to open up a nightclub, liquor store, and a laundromat. I even enrolled into college and obtained my degree for Business Administrative Management just so that I can start on the right path to owning my own business and having the knowledge as well. Once I graduated from college my main focus was opening a liquor store. I even started the legwork with getting things started and then life happened.
Several years went by and I had so many different life experiences, some good and some bad but, I never stopped wanting my own business. In May of 2016, I started Gee’s Vanity as a Makeup Artist only however, I was nowhere near consistent with the business. Fast forward to 2020, a few months after the pandemic happened people started having reactions and outbreaks on their face from the masks. I was approached on the streets and received calls from coworkers asking how to take care of their skin. I was already working on completing my certificate for makeup and skincare, and that is when I decided to go legit with Gee’s Vanity. In August of 2020 I incorporated my company and have been on the road to building my empire, clientele, and putting a smile on my clients faces from the services that they receive from my company and the great customer service that I provide.
